I grew up in a small corn town in northern Illinois just an hour’s train ride from Chicago. After earning my BA in Art History from DePaul University, I discovered my love for the outdoors when I took a job as a camp counselor at Camp Anokijig. It was at camp that I met the love of my life, John. Together, we moved out to Colorado where we hiked, camped, and started to climb, all with a camera in my hand. Colorado is where my connection to nature and the earth found its voice through my camera. After spending two years there, we moved back to the midwest where I am currently teaching second grade. I spend my free time seeking out new adventures, sending routes at the climbing gym, snuggling with my dog, Bear, and re-watching Gilmore Girls.
